Yesterday the Lady Tigers and Tigers competed in the District Golf Tournament at TN River Golf Course in Decaturville.  The Tigers posted a team score of 343 but failed to advance to the region tournament next Monday.  This completes the golf season for the Tigers, and we would like to recognize and thank our seniors (Eli Moore, Sam McGinley, Westin Roten, and Justin Albers) for all their hard work throughout their 4 years on the golf team.  The Lady Tigers finished with a team score of 200 and missed advancing to the Region Tournament as a team by 1 stroke.  Senior Emily Wright completed her career as a Lady Tiger golfer yesterday.  Lainey DeBerry posted a score of 91 for the tournament, finishing 4th overall in the District, and will advance to the Region Tournament next Monday as an individual.  We wish her the best of luck! Both the JV and Varisty Volleyball teams defeated Jackson Northside in district play last. night. Volleyball needs to be let out at 2:40 to travel Jackson Southside tonight.

The fishing team needs to meet in Mr. Whites' classroom today after school for a brief meeting Exploring the World with Lori will be traveling to Europe’s Mediterranean Coast during Spring Break 2028, visiting Italy, France, and Spain. An interest meeting will be held immediately following the Parent-Teacher Conference on Thursday, September 17, at 6:00 p.m. in Mrs. Lori’s room, T-13. Students and parents interested in learning more are encouraged to attend.   HCHS Lady Tiger and Tiger golf Teams traveled to Bolivar for a 9 Hole match. Lainey DeBerry posted the low round for both teams with a 43 and the Lady Tigers won the Team portion with a team score of 98.  The Tigers fell in the team competition.  Sam McGinley and Baylor Hardwick both posted a 41 for the low round scores for the Tigers.  Both teams will be back in action tomorrow at Pickwick vs. Chester County. The Lady Tigers volleyball team defeated Liberty in 3 games yesterday at HCHS to remain undefeated in district play.  Volleyball will host Lexington on Thursday at HCHS in a big district match. Come out and support the Lady Tigers. JV starts at 5pm and the Varsity game will start at 6. The lady Tigers soccer team fell to Lexington in a great game that had 2 overtime periods and penalty kicks to declare the winner.

In conjunction with the upcoming ACT Senior Re-take on September 29, HCHS will be hosting an ACT Test Prep Workshop on September 21-24 after school from 3:10 until approximately 4:30 each day. It is open to any HCHS student.

This is a day that Alford will be here to help you choose your senior picture for the yearbook and to also make any picture purchases.
